С»ÆѼÊÓƵ is proud to announce the success of its collaboration with the through the PackforGood campaign.

Over the past six months, students and staff has demonstrated remarkable generosity, contributing to this impactful initiative aimed at supporting life-saving research and critical work by the BHF.

Three dedicated donation boxes were strategically placed across campus, providing convenient collection points for a wide variety of goods. Items donated included clothing, bric-a-brac, kitchen utensils, games, toys, and general household items, showcasing the diverse ways our community contributed.

In just six months an impressive £1,905 in donations was raised.

This contribution will directly support the British Heart Foundation’s mission to combat heart and circulatory diseases and advance life-saving research.

Lucy Clarke, Environmental Advisor at С»ÆѼÊÓƵ, highlighted the campaign’s success:

“The PackforGood campaign has shown the power of collective action within our university. We are thrilled by the generosity of our community, which not only supports an incredible cause but also aligns with our sustainability goals.

This initiative reduces waste while fostering a spirit of giving – a true win-win.” This achievement is a testament to the university’s commitment to making a difference, both locally and nationally.

The funds raised will help support BHF’s vital research and community programmes, ensuring lasting impacts on the lives of those affected by heart disease.

We plan to continue the campaign next year, by adding in further donation boxes and even getting BHF in, for Green Week, to do a talk on just how important this campaign really is and where our support goes. This has been an incredible success, both for the charity and the environment. What would have gone to landfill, and contributed to CO2 emissions, we have now given another home for these items.”
